Check your textHow to read your AI detector score
The AI detector gives you a single number from 0 to 100. It is the estimated chance that AI wrote the text, not a yes or no. Here is what each band means.
Probably a person
Reads like human writing. We did not pick up the patterns a model tends to leave behind.
Hard to say
Some of it leans one way, some the other. Read it yourself before you draw a conclusion.
Probably AI
This has the marks of machine-written text. Read it closely before you conclude anything.
How this Turnitin alternative works
Three steps, a few seconds, no setup.
Add your text
Paste it, upload a Word or PDF file, or drop in a link to the page you want to check.
We check the patterns
The model weighs your writing against the patterns of AI text and human text, the same job Turnitin's AI indicator does.
Read the score
You get a number from 0 to 100 and a plain read on how likely AI was involved.
AI Detector vs Turnitin
Turnitin is an institutional tool. Schools and universities license it, and its AI writing indicator runs when you submit through your course. Most students never see the result and cannot check their own drafts first. This tool fills that gap: a quick, private pre-check you can run yourself before anything reaches a grader.

Can you check Turnitin yourself?
Not directly. Turnitin is sold to institutions, not individuals, and its AI score is shown to instructors rather than students. Some schools let you see a similarity report, but the AI writing indicator is usually hidden. That is why a separate, free checker is useful for looking over your own work ahead of time.
How close is this to Turnitin?
No outside tool can reproduce Turnitin's exact score, and anyone claiming a perfect match is guessing. Different detectors are trained on different data and will disagree on borderline cases. Treat a high score here as a sign to revise and double-check your sources, not as a prediction of what Turnitin will say.
Where your text goes
The check happens in memory on our own server. As soon as you have a score, your text is dropped. No logs, no database, no training set.
There is no account holding a history of your checks either.
Turnitin AI detector FAQ
Is this a free Turnitin alternative?
Yes. It's free with no account and no limit on checks. It isn't affiliated with Turnitin.
Which AI detector is closest to Turnitin?
None match it exactly. Detectors are trained differently, so use any of them as a pre-check, not a prediction.
Can students use Turnitin directly?
Usually not. It runs through your school's system and the AI result is shown to instructors, not students.
Will a low score here guarantee a low Turnitin score?
No. A low score means nothing obvious jumped out. Different tools can still disagree on the same text.
Can I upload my essay file?
Yes. Upload a Word or PDF, paste the text, or drop in a link, and we'll check it.
