Free GPTZero alternative with no limits
Check any text for AI with no account and no daily cap. Free, private, and nothing you paste is kept.
Check your textHow to read your AI detector score
The AI detector gives you a single number from 0 to 100. It is the estimated chance that AI wrote the text, not a yes or no. Here is what each band means.
Probably a person
Reads like human writing. We did not pick up the patterns a model tends to leave behind.
Hard to say
Some of it leans one way, some the other. Read it yourself before you draw a conclusion.
Probably AI
This has the marks of machine-written text. Read it closely before you conclude anything.
How this GPTZero alternative works
Three steps, a few seconds, no setup.
Add your text
Paste it, upload a Word or PDF file, or drop in a link to the page you want to check.
We check the patterns
The model weighs your text against the patterns of AI writing and human writing, the same kind of check GPTZero runs.
Read the score
You get a number from 0 to 100 and a plain read on how likely AI was involved.
AI Detector vs GPTZero
GPTZero is one of the better known standalone AI detectors. It works well, but the free tier caps each scan at 10,000 characters and asks you to create a free account for longer texts, with paid plans above that. This tool does the same core job with no size cap and no login, which suits quick one-off checks.
| At a glance | RoboSnitch | GPTZero |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | Free tier, then paid plans |
| Free scan size | No cap | Up to 10,000 characters |
| Account | None needed | Free account for longer texts |
| Your text | Discarded after scoring | Per their policy |
| Input | Paste, Word, PDF, or link | Paste and file upload |
Is a free detector good enough?
For most everyday checks, yes. The hard part of AI detection is the model, not the paywall, and ours is a strong, modern classifier. Where any detector struggles is the same everywhere: very short text, and text that has been heavily edited or paraphrased. Paying more does not fix those limits.
Which models it covers
Like GPTZero, it is trained across a broad mix of AI writing, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama and others. Newer models are harder for every detector to flag, so weigh borderline scores on very recent text with care.
Where your text goes
The check happens in memory on our own server. As soon as you have a score, your text is dropped. No logs, no database, no training set.
There is no account holding a history of your checks either.
GPTZero alternative FAQ
Is this really free?
Yes. No account, no daily limit, no paid tier. It isn't affiliated with GPTZero.
Is it as accurate as GPTZero?
It uses a strong modern classifier. No detector is perfect, so treat every score as a signal rather than proof.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Paste, upload a file, or drop in a link and check straight away.
Do you store what I check?
No. It's analyzed in memory and dropped as soon as you get a score.
Which AI models does it catch?
A broad mix, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Llama. See the model pages for details.
