Free AI video detector for any clip

Upload a video and we sample frames across it to estimate whether it was AI-generated. Free and private, and the file is deleted right after.

How to read your AI video detector score

The detector gives you a single number from 0 to 100. It is the estimated chance that the video was AI-generated, averaged across sampled frames. Here is what each band means.

Probably real

Looks like real footage. The sampled frames did not show the usual AI patterns.

Hard to say

The frames are split. Look at the clip closely before you decide.

Probably AI

The frames carry the marks of an AI generator. Worth checking where the clip came from.

How the AI video detector works

Three steps, and your file never sticks around.

1

Upload a clip

Drop in an MP4, MOV or WebM up to 64 MB. We never keep the file.

2

We sample frames

We pull a spread of still frames from across the clip and score each one for AI.

3

Read the score

You get an averaged number, the peak frame, and a plain verdict. Then the file is deleted.

Why it works on frames

A video is a stream of still images. We sample a spread of frames across the clip and run each one through our image detector, then average the scores and note the most suspicious frame. Fully AI-generated video, from tools like Sora, Veo, Kling and Runway, tends to leave the same visual fingerprints in its frames that AI images do.

Be honest about the limits

This is the least reliable detector we offer, and we would rather say so than oversell it. The image model was trained on still pictures, not video frames, so compression, motion blur and editing all push the score around. It is best at spotting fully AI-generated clips, and weakest on face-swap deepfakes, which are a different problem entirely.

Treat a high score as a reason to check the source of a clip, never as proof on its own.

Where your video goes

Your video sits on our server only long enough to be scored. The moment you see a result, the file is gone, along with any frames or pixels we read from it.

Nothing is logged or saved, and there is no account holding a history of your checks.

AI video detector FAQ

Is the AI video detector free?

Yes. Upload as many clips as you like, with no account.

How accurate is it?

Less than our text and image tools. It samples frames and the underlying model was trained on still images, so treat it as experimental.

Does it catch deepfakes?

Not reliably. Face-swap deepfakes are a different problem. This is best on fully AI-generated video.

What size and formats work?

MP4, MOV or WebM up to 64 MB. We sample frames, so a long clip is fine.

Do you keep my video?

No. It's deleted as soon as the frames are scored.

Can you check an image instead?

Yes, and more accurately. Use the AI image detector.
