An AI detector that tells you the truth
We built a fast, free way to check whether text, images or video were made by AI, without an account and without keeping anything you upload.
What this is
RoboSnitch is a free set of detectors for AI-generated content. The main tool checks writing for the fingerprints of language models. There is also an image detector and an experimental video detector. You can paste text, upload a Word or PDF file, or drop in a link.
Why honesty matters here
Plenty of detectors imply certainty they cannot deliver. We would rather be straight with you: a score is a signal, not a verdict. Human writing sometimes reads as AI, edited AI often slips through, and no tool should be used to accuse anyone on its own. Every result we show says as much.
How it works
Each detector is a neural network trained to tell human and AI content apart. Everything runs on our own server and is processed in memory, so your text and files are dropped the moment you get a score. See the main detector for the full rundown, and the privacy policy for exactly what we keep, which is nothing.
Who's behind RoboSnitch
RoboSnitch is owned and operated by Search Ventures Ltd. It was designed and built by Matt Hodson, a software engineer based in Lincoln, UK, who handles the detection pipeline, the models and the site itself.
It is a small, independent project, not a faceless brand. That is also why the tool is candid about what detection can and cannot do: there is a real person standing behind the numbers, and overpromising would not sit right.
